Help Build a Musical Future for Local Kids!
We're Open for Business!
It's with great excitement that we unveil the opening of the Musical Instrument Testing Library, now welcoming the students of Vistancia Elementary School in Peoria, Arizona for the 2024-2025 school year!
Dreamed-up by two industrious Girl Scouts determined to make a positive impact on their community, this innovative "try before you buy" library invites students to immerse themselves in the world of music by providing a safe space to experiment with various instruments.
For Students:
We envision the Instrument Library as a gateway for you to forge a meaningful bond with your chosen instrument—a bond that not only enriches your musical journey but also sustains your passion for music over time.
For Parents:
This initiative promises peace of mind (and the possibility of decreased expenses) knowing your child has chosen an instrument that resonates with them on a personal level. The library allows them to try out several popular instruments to see what speaks to them, before the decision to purchase or lease an instrument is made.
Our Hope: That kids will discover a special connection to music.
Music Builds Confidence, Sparks Creativity, & Strengthens Teamwork
For many kids, a school experience simply isn't complete without the joys of music.
Learning to play an instrument helps students of all ages and backgrounds to become more confident, learn teamwork, and spark their creativity.
The Concept:
We are building a Musical Instrument Testing Library benefitting the students of Vistancia Elementary School in Peoria, Arizona. This library will allow students to try several instruments in a safe environment and explore the joys of music.
This "try before you buy" concept is the brainchild of two hardworking Girl Scouts who are looking for ways to improve their community.
Our hope is that this new type of Instrument Library will allow kids to discover a special connection with their favorite instrument. This connection can serve to elevate the student's musical education and keep their interest in music for the long-term. Additionally, parents can rest easy (and potentially reduce their instrument costs) through the knowledge that their child has selected an instrument they truly enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a few questions we commonly hear.
Can I donate money instead of an instrument?
Yes! Please contact us to learn how you can send money to support this project.
Who can use the Musical Instrument Library?
Students at Vistancia Elementary School. 100% of Vistancia's students must enroll in their music program (either choir or band) during grades 4-8.
What if I have an instrument that is not on your list?
We are thrilled to hear that! If you have an instrument that is not currently listed, feel free to get in touch with us. We may still be able to add it to our Instrument Library!
Do the instruments have to be new?
Nope! We accept new instruments and used ones that have been previously loved. We would like for them to be in good condition. Reeds for woodwind instruments should be new.
When will the library be open?
We are aiming to open the library for the 2024/2025 school year.
What are your instrument inventory goals?
We are hoping to have at least one of each instrument for our library.
Our Project Progress
We've worked hard at the school to clean and organize and make necessary repairs to the instrument donations, set up a storage space for them, and developing plans/procedures that will allow students to borrow the instruments and try them out!
What Have We Received So Far?
Through our generous donors, we've received in some beautiful instruments that we plan to plan in the Instrument Library!
